Early Life

Kathleen DuJour was born in Brooklyn, New York and worked as a hair stylist. She attended elementary school and secondary school. She attended college; however, she left the school to pursuit modelling. Kathleen auditioned for America's Next Top Model in 2006 and made it as a contestant for Cycle 8, but became the first to be eliminated. However, she became a contestant on Madea's Next Top Model in 2007 and was revealed the winner of Cycle 1.

Top Model

Kathleen tried out for Cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model, and made it to the final 13. She was then shortly the first to be eliminated. Assuring the judges that she would continue to pursuit modelling, Kathleen's determination and larger-than-life personality caught the eye of Madea Simmons, who decided to cast her on Cycle 1 of Madea's Next Top Model. Kathleen started off in the middle of the pack, then stood out in the second episode, and over the competition, getting her photo called first four times in a row. Kathleen never was placed in the bottom two until she reached the final three. With her stellar performance in front of the camera, fierce runway walk and energetic personality, Kathleen won the competition.

At 5'10", she is the first winner. She is the first African-American winner. Kathleen is also the first New York winner, and the first American winner.
