A New Day Has Come

The final three contestants are congratulated by Madea for making it far in the competition and the next day. Melissa R., Carly and McKenzie are faced with their toughest challenge yet…go-sees. The girls are to travel to 5 clients all over Jamaica in 8 hours and to arrive on time. Melissa R. accidentally missed 1 client and was disqualified from the challenge. Carly, however, made it to all 5 clients in less than 6 hours and won the challenge. At the shoot, the girls do a CoverGirl commercial and shoot for CoverGirl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers. Melissa R. has ‘Lemon Splash’, Carly had ‘Watermelon Splash’ and McKenzie had ‘Grape Splash’. At judging, Carly’s charm and natural charisma scored lots of points for the judges, while McKenzie’s takes delivered a loving personality from her. Melissa R.’s bubbly persona got thumbs up from the judges. In the end, Melissa R. and McKenzie land themselves in the bottom two and McKenzie is sent home.

The final two, Melissa R. and Carly are whisked away back to their hotel and they later did a cover for Vogue Top Model magazine. Tyra & Robin after had a one-on-one session with the girls. At the fashion show, the girl found out that they’ll be working the designs of Dolce & Gabbana and they’ll be walking to the song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” by Beyoncé. Cycle 1 winner Kathleen DuJour joined them on the runway. Melissa R. delivered an eye-popping runway walk. Carly’s strut got a standing ovation from the judges. During their last and final judging, they girls look back upon their photo shoots and are later asked to leave for the judges to deliberate. Soon enough, the girls are called back in, have their last words and Madea announces the winner on a large plasma TV screen to be Melissa R. as the winner of Cycle 2!
